Its a sandwich shop, draw your own conclusions. I suppose you could ask for the sandwich contents without the bread?
Yes.
Best sandwiches in town. How is that bread so damn good?
Hands down best sandwiches in town, Chief Beef and the Grick are classic go to’s but don’t overlook there crazy between bread creations. Wait for pore over coffee it’s worth it.
Great for a quick and tasty lunch. Not much sitting space inside, but a few benches outside. My sandwich was perfect, with runny yet tasty cheese and fresh lettuce. It's not for everyone however. My friend didn't like it since she was expecting more meat.
I had the Chief Beef and Cold Brew, both were fabulous! Lightly toasted and so well balanced that sandwich was a thing of beauty, the cold brew is top notch too and in such a cozy little place. Only reason it’s 4 stars is the price, $10 for the sandwich and $4 for the coffee, just a little steeper than I like but I’ll be be back regardless.
Not only are the sandwiches fresh, unique, and tasty, the rustic location adds to the whole experience. The rotating sandwiches are a welcome change to switch things up every month.
The sandwich is amazing and price is decent. I ordered the beef sandwich and it was good. I have an idea which sandwich to get next time. The sandwiches are made fresh to order and service is fast as well as efficient. Oh, the donuts are good as well. I disagree with my friend that the songs being played there as being pretentious. I dont think people want to listen fast pace songs or else customers wont have a chance to enjoy their sandwich and eat fast.
Best sandwich shop in the province. They'd definitely be the best in the country if they brought back the Hot Tropic. Wink wink.
The staff were kinda unfriendly hipster dudes but the samiches were very nice.! I give farrow 10/10 on the Chief Beef sandwich as it utilizes texture and flavour masterfully and just feels so balanced with the proper ratio of sauce to meat. Also the integration of arugula is the perfect choice and I couldn’t see any other leafy green replacing it. Overall, farrow sandwiches makes good sandwich and I approve! :)
Super excited that they opened one on 124 street. My son told me about this place and I have been hooked and now I can go during work breaks somewhat close to the office. Always got to get a grick, even if it is not the morning. Coffee is pretty nice too and they got baked goods.
Solid "M'eh"Nice enough. Polite counter service. Very tiny place (if you are there when it's busy, good luck even standing)For a place I kept getting told to go to, that only does sandwiches and has a very small menu, it is pricey and forgettable. Nothing stood out, the sandwiches were okay, but easily done at home and coffee was also nothing special despite being slightly more expensive and single origin. If it was a food truck I would be more understanding and would work well. As a permanent space it seems a little lackluster.
Sandwiches are the best in the city. The menu rotates so it is never boring. The ingredients are fresh and they think out of the box. The coffee is great and the staff is friendly
Great local sandwich shop with vegan options. I had the Celine Dijon and my boyfriend got the BLTime Being. Farrow recommends eating the sandwiches right away or putting them in the oven (350°, open-faced to watch the veggies). We decided to eat right away and they were delicious. Next time, I'd like to try them warmed. My only critique would be to add more Dijon, as it was hard to taste amongst the other flavours. I called ahead so our order was ready when we arrived. I appreciated that only one customer was allowed inside at a time, hand sanitizer was available, and the debit machine was sanitized before use. I will be back earlier next time... before the cronuts are sold out!
Incredible sandwiches! Everything is fresh and delicious.
Very yummy sandwiches, though pricey. Very hip, best for takeout as there are just a couple bar stools.
Best Sandwiches in E Town. Real Food. They also make their own Donuts.
Went to the new 124 street location today and it was my first time trying Farrow. Popular place with a line up out the door. Cute space, not lots of seating but most people get to go. Friendly service and delicious chicken sandwich. Cronut also smells good (saving it for my wife)
Totally loved the food! They have good vegetarian options- Teriyaki ! Will keep visiting the place quite often!
Absolutely LOVE the food here. Staff is very friendly.
Such a great little hidden gem!! Wonderful FRESH sandwiches, always with an incredible vegan sandwich option. The menu is always changing which is so fun! Sandwiches have such depth of flavour and the desserts...? Delish!
Tasty. They said they will always have two vegetarian or vegan dishes. Coffee is available by drip or cold brew by tap or bottled (both of the latter are great).
10/10 always so happy with my food. The donuts and donut cakes are amazing. I always recommend this place to friends and anyone visiting Edmonton!
Awesome little place. Great sandwich!!
Workers were super nice. Sandwich was excellent. One of the best sandwiches in Edmonton.
Absolutely love Farrow best sandwich shop in all of Edmonton! Huge sandwiches that are delicious! 11/10 would recommend to everyone!
Terrible customer service. I ordered the same thing three times over five days. Went back and placed the same order. Got it home and it was basically beets on a bun. Went right in the garbage. When I contacted Farrow their response was "Since we do change the menu so frequently its always a good heads up to check the menu out before you order. Have a great day," Any offer to compensate me or offer another sandwich would have been declined but NO attempt to even try and make it right? $20.00 with tip for a bag of bbq chips and a root beer after spending money there three out of five days this week? I won't be back. NOTE: The online menu was changed well after my email to Farrow.
Very cool sandwich spot with lots of outdoor seating. Perfect for a quick bite at lunch, great doughnuts too (although blueberry filled one was too sweet!). Sandwiches were amazing, they constantly change so definitely keeps it interesting. Vanilla cream soda is AMAZING 💓 if it isn't already on your "must eat here" list, add it now.
Grick middle sandwich is good. Quite heavy though (and hit or miss some days).
The bread is soft, easy to bite into and the ingredients is so generously flavorful. The bread to ingredient ratio is perfect. These sandwiches are more then a snack and sized extremely well for their price. They even hold well to take them home. Mine did not get the least bit soggy and were still nicely firm. We couldn't decide on just two sandwiches and ordered 3. We couldn't decide which two were the best when we were done.
Best sandwiches I have tried in Western Canada. Creative and original sandwiches and overall restaurant. One of those unique places that you actually remember when you go out. Definitely not just another place to eat.
Farrow is my go to sandwich and coffee place. Unique sandwiches, really great pour over or drip coffee. They have donuts, and other goodies that you can’t really compare to from any other place. Plus a bunch of rad, fun employees!
I've only had donuts from here but they've been pretty good! The cronuts are absolutely delicious!
For lunch in the area, Farrow never disappoints. It does sandwiches right - soft flavourful bread piled high with delicious ingredients. Its feature sandwich options are alway inventive and tasty. I consistently find myself stopping in for a coffee or to check out their ever-changing donut selection (Try the cronuts!!)
Love the Grick sandwich. Makes me feel better no matter what my mood going in was!
Edanya's trick was very yummy. The chief beef with delicious but they were a bit skimpy on the beef. Coffee was okay and the donut with sprinkles was fresh and yummy.
First time here and I loved it. It's a small, cozy little place with a small sandwich and coffee menu but what they serve is simply amazing. The sandwich I had was so good and was called the Chief Beef. Be sure to check their menu on the website to see which sandwiches they are currently featuring as they seem to change all of the time. Definitely worth a visit if you value a quality sandwich and coffee
This place is on a pinhead. Perhaps they should utilize the basement with that spiral stairwell. Showed up on Friday afternoon place got busy and it felt a bit uncomfortable with coats on. However the food I had was a spectacular delight. Nice and spicy and delish!
Amazing sandwiches, the menu always changes so I can't really recommend anything. I've been here a lot and there is always something for me though. Recently they have started to make some pretty interesting pastries. This place is definitely a gem and worth checking out if you haven't been.
Arguably the best sandwiches in Edmonton. I love the classic Grick Middle with that runny, fried egg on a nice bed of arugula, bacon and smoked cheddar. They also offer a feature sandwich every month. Very friendly service. Seating can be limited, but the turn around is very quick. If you order before 10AM, check out their $10 Grick Middle + Coffee deal! It never disappoints.
great local eats! sandwiches are bomb, drip coffee is good, and it's run by friendly folks.
Small little shop that provides great service and amazing sandwiches. They made sure to do a full clean of the grill for my friend that has allergies. They have tables outside for sitting which is good because they only have a few seats inside.
The Grick Middle might be my favourite sandwich, that wasn't a burger, ever. Skip the Subway or Press'd and try it. Thank me later.
Insanely good sandwiches, with fresh local Ingredients. Very original food, and great coffee and cafe. Great outdoor seating, but inside there are only 3 seats. Parking isn't the best, but worth it.
Hands down the BEST place to go for sandwiches! I love Farrow. Plus, they always have a vegan or vegetarian option!
Went in there last month. The food was amazing. The staff was nice. The service was great. Will visit again.
This is a tiny place with only 2 stools on the inside and 2 picnic tables on the outside. The size does not hinder how rad this place is and the deliciousness of the sandwiches. The buns were so fresh and the ingredients were delicious. The vegan sandwich at the time was 10/10, and my husband's sandwich would have been a 9/10 if only it was bigger (which is a good sign in my books).
Went in with 2 of my friends for the first time. We all tried different sandwiches. Everything tasted great and came out quickly I'll definitely be back to try more.
Never had the sandwiches but the cronuts here are worth the visit. Absolutely amazing.
Farrow is by far the best sandwiches and coffee in YEG. Would recommend with great enthusiasm.
@farrowsandwiches - Grick Middle (fried egg, bacon, arugula, tomato jam, smoked cheddar). Perfect for every season!..I’ve visited @farrowsandwiches many times over the last few months and this is probably my favourite sandwich! The egg yolk nicely complimented the rest of the ingredients. This photo does not do it justice at all! Can’t wait to go back for more! .
It's hard to visit Whyte Avenue without going to the Farrow! Nice sandwich shop located next to a variety of different green spaces. Not a lot of space to eat inside. Go eat outside when it's warm!
